The focus for the all of the skating skills classes is to educate the skaters on how to become comfortable on their edges and how to utilize them to their benefit. The goal is for the skaters to maximize their sense of blade and body awareness while increasing their range of motion.

In turn, they will learn to manipulate their line, carriage, and flow seamlessly throughout a play while maintaining or increasing their speed and efficiency.

The classes will typically be broken up into four focus points:
• Edge development
• Range of motion
• New skills or continuation from the last session
• Forward stride and backward skating

A big highlight about this class is that these skaters not only get a chance to learn about these skills,
but they get to experiment and practice them at their own pace. It's all about building a foundation of experience because an experienced skater is a stronger skater.
